MTSC Policy


Preface

The policy specifies the major purpose of the MTSC (Moxa Technical Support Certification) program and defines all relevant terminology.

Objective

1. The objective of the MTSC program is to enhance the technical service capabilities of Moxa's distributors. By receiving MTSC training and the resultant technical certification, distributors can gain more product know-how, and get realistic hands-on experience with a variety of Moxa products. Moxa believes that providing this type of experience is an effective way to help distributors foster greater customer satisfaction.
2. MTSC will be done in 2 types of sessions: One is the annual troubleshooting physical session and the other are quarterly online product sessions .
3. Moxa's distributors can show with their MTSC certification their expertise to their customer and close relationship to their vendor.
4. Certificates will be delivered after the troubleshooting session once a year
5. Certificates will be based on the combined performance of the quarterly product sessions and the annual troubleshooting session.
6. Distributor's MTSC-certified employees should serve as the main contact windows for their end-users seeking technical support for Moxa's products.

Place & Time

MTSC training sessions will be held each year in 4 regions (Greater Asia, China, Europe, and America).

Attendees

1. Moxa's distributors should enroll at least one engineer from their company in the MTSC training program each year.
2. Attendees who become MTSC-certified will be the main contacts for all pre-sales and post-sales support questions from customers.
3. Attendees should have basic product know-how and a good technical background. Participants from technical support and product management are all welcome.

2. Training Method
    For qartertly product sessions: Presentations and Demos
    For annual troubleshooting session: Hands-on practice
3. Exams
    Pass criteria 80%
    Exam questions will cover the following categories:
     - Background technology
     - Product know-how
     - Product operation
     - Diagnostics and troubleshooting
    All exams are open book; speaking with others is not allowed
4. Pass/Fail
    Attendees must pass all exams with 80%
5. All exams must be taken during the regular MTSC training sessions. Retakes are not possible.

Certification

1. Attendees can get an official certificate
2. Distributors for which at least one attendee gets MTSC certification for a particular product group are allowed to place that product group's MTSC logo (see section "Operation") on their web pages and in their email signature. In addition, the MTSC logos will appear next to the distributor's contact information in the "Where to Buy" section of Moxa's corporate website.

Validity

MTSC certification is valid until the next troubleshooting MTSC session
